Where is the humanity, kindness ? All these virtues are lost within a cage named ‘Business’. Even, the goodness in performing “Durgapuja” -Bengali’s most popular festival has also been lost within “Business”. But in villages,”Durgapuja” is treated as “Puja festival” only not as Business. Very soon, this dark cloud of town culture will be spread in villages also.
In District-towns,Metro cities, so many people are earning money in the name of “Durgapuja”. Earlier, only Potters were earning money by making “Devi Durga-Idols” from clay. Really they deserve huge earnings. Instead of their name, clubs are getting names and prizes from this “Durgapuja Festival”. Does the Sculptor/Potter get recognition for their wonderful artistic work ?
So many agencies,Clubs are competing for decoration, lighting, beauty and gorgeousness of idols and who become first in this competition achieves lots of prizes. Is it the proper way to do “Puja”? No people,in Town, are interested in attending the “Puja”, in attending the “Arati”,”sandhikhhan” for what it means, rather people are treating this festival as enjoyment by travelling from one Puja-Pandel to another one at midnight and they start commenting on decoration of pandel, lighting, beauty of Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha and Kartikeya.
Is this the way for praying to “GOD” ? Is this the way for doing the Puja Arati ?
